Nanay's Notes For You

To My Dear Little Drummer Boy,

Nine years before you came the doctor said that it was impossible for me to have a child because of my PCOS. I cried silently and prayed. I thought it was only a person who told me that and i have a bigger God who can turn impossible things to possible. Years passed and you came. Since then my life has change, sabi nga sa kanta "ang bawat kong pangarap iyong pinalitan. Binigyan ako ng lakas, tyaga at tapang, na harapin ang bawat tanong at pag aalinlangan. Dahil alam ko ikaw ay katabi ko lamang. At sa twing pagsikat at paglubog ng araw nagsisimula at nagwawakas sa salitang ikaw..." you bring so much joy into our lives.

And in time, as part of our plans i will explain to you that we have an unconventional family. We have a different structure from the norms, diverse with different beliefs, personalities and humor. However, not because we are unconventional it means we are so special. No because there are other families like us. What you must remember, inspite of these quirkiness, what matters are the people, whether related by blood or not, those who would stick with you through thick and thin are the ones we call family. And that you are always loved by us, but the Lord loves you more than i do, more than we do, because you are a child of God. And that's more important than anything else.

Love,
Nanay
